Tetuzi Akiyama ,Gitarre & Elektronik ( Japan)
Tetuzi Akiyama is a highly unique and experimental guitarist heavily applying free improvisation and noise. Besides guitar, he also plays electronics, viola, and self-made instruments. Akiyama released his first solo album Relator [slub music] in 2001. Mixing feelings of country and blues with free improvisation, Akiyama began to perform solo with greater frequency playing both acoustic and electric guitars, turntables without records and other effects. Using a prepared resonator guitar with a Samurai sword, Akiyama recorded his second solo album Resophonie (a bruit secret, 2002) which can be described as sonic sculpture with guitar.
Akiyama is a frequent guest at international music festivals and in recent years has performed at What is Music? (Australia, 2002), Alt Music (New Zealand, 2002 & 2004), Amplify (Tokyo, 2002 & New York, 2003), Musique Action (France, 2003 & 2005), Musiques Innovatrices (France, 2003), Uchiage (Berlin & Vienna, 2004) and Instal (Glasgow, 2005).

Hervé Boghossian ,guitarist and electronic musician ( Paris)
Born in Marseille (France) in 1973 and moved to Paris (France) in 1997. Founder of the avant-rock trio and then duo ION+ with jurgen heckel* in february 1999.

Tomas Korber Gitarre & Elektronik (Zürich)
Born in 1979 in Zurich, Swiss-Spanish composer/improviser Tomas Korber has written compositions and played improvised music since the early 90ties. He has worked solo and collaborated with the likes of Günter Müller, Norbert Möslang, Otomo Yoshihide, Mark Wastell, Lê Quan Ninh, Toshimaru Nakamura, Mattin, Stephan Wittwer, Jason Kahn, Greg Davis, Taku Unami, Thomas Ankersmit, Kai Fagaschinski, Dimitri de Perrot, Dieb13, Butch Morris, Tetuzi Akiyama, David Daniell, Hans Koch, Sachiko M, Sean Meehan, Christian Weber, Keith Rowe, Christian Wolfarth, Kazuya Ishigami, Yamamoto Seiichi, Lionel Marchetti, Bernd Schurer, Graham Halliwell, Andrea Parkins, ErikM, Steinbrüchel and many others.
He also composes music for theater- and film-productions (i.e. under the direction of Franz Dängeli, Kaspar Kasics, Stefan Haupt, Fredi Murer, Martin Moll and others). Tomas Korber has performed extensively across Europe, Japan and North America.

oh , this looks so great, jana,

I wish we could go on a music date to see it together.

but there is the little matter of the $1,500 round trip plane fare
and the Y2K7 Looping Festival that begins in four days..............lol

ah,- and you call that a good enough reason to miss this??

-Actually, it was great fun. Not a big audience, but very interested.

The first two performers were accoustic guitar,- one more leaning into spanish, the other letting shine through some slide and bluegrass,- and then the wowweey noise ear piercing swiss guy, making very futuristic pulsar kind of tweaks off his electric guitar and amp set..

when the three had a session together,- it lacked that certain something however,- but was still a good night out! ;-))

you have to get out and see my freind Bernhard Wagner play in Zurich, Jana.

He's a really interesting musician........an excellent looping musician.

He produced the first pan European live looping festival but he's kind of withdrawn from the scene
        as of late.

tell him I say hi if you meet him. He's a great guy!

I wish I could go out with you and get a beer and see him play. I really enjoyed the two times I've performed in Zurich.
I love those little bars right on the side of the river there.......................great memories.

Perhaps we can hang out if I make it there again on tour.
