  this is so awesome! and damn him for being famous.. lol.. I say this because I've wanted to do a similar piece for the last 15 years... my idea was slightly different in that I wanted to place piezo mics on the metal work of a partially finished building (ie. just the iron framing), and then 'play the building' with a sledgehammer...

    hey! Just do it, -its different enough! It sounds like hella fun!
    
    (sadly, the more I learn about 'famous' people is that they take other 'nobodys' ideas..modify, glamify.. and hey: they get to collect the glory..
    
    I dont know much about David Byrne, I have no reason to suspect that he is stealing anyone's ideas..- I just mention it because i have seen it in other cases and it Reallly annoys me.)
